Novosibirsk region for 3 years to invest in the development of highways 23 billion rubles

The authorities of the Novosibirsk region adopted a targeted programme for the development of roads in the region in 2012-2014, respectively; attachments will be 23.3 billion rubles, said on Thursday, the press service of the Government of the region.

"The aim of the programme is the development of highways for routes within the movement and the strengthening of the role of Novosibirsk as a major transportation hub in the eastern part of Russia," the statement said.

Within the framework of the programme planned to renovate more than 450 kilometres of roads, bridges, 47; restore and expand the highway-road network in 30 municipalities and 5 cities. Also will increase the proportion of surfaced roads.

The most important objectives of the programme are: the continued construction of the third bridge over the Ob at Novosibirsk, reconstruction of motor roads "Novosibirsk-leninsk-Kuznetsky (12.5 km) and Novosibirsk-Kolyvan-Tomsk" (17.4 km) road construction "Baryshevo, Leningrad oblast-Orlovka-Koltsovo" with tunnel and "Novosibirsk-Kamen-na-Obi" on site "Canvas border of Altai Krai" (26 kilometers).

Also among the priorities of the construction of access roads to the international exhibition complex "Expocenter" Novosibirsk and the construction of the "Novoozernyj-Krasnomajskij-Cheek" in the Novosibirsk region.

On the realization of a long-term programme for three years, is expected to allocate approximately 23.3 billion rubles-this means the regional budget and federal subsidies.

Last Tuesday at the final press conference, Governor Vasily Yurchenko said that authorities planned to reach out to 2014, the normative content of the roads. He noted that the savings on road maintenance of their network, especially in rural areas, will be optimized.

"We will address the ugliness inherent in our road network. Somewhere there are no roads, and somewhere from one locality to another at a distance of 10 kilometres are four roads ... in close proximity to each other. Need to leave one way, because otherwise this inefficient use of resources, "said the head of the region.

He added that at present in the territory of the federal roads pass 786 km, 12.5 thousand kilometers of regional and 14-15 thousand kilometres of municipal roads.
