The RUSSIAN FEDERATION to improve the transport infrastructure for the development of hotel business

Transport infrastructure should be improved in Russia for the full development of domestic tourism and hotel industry, said Tuesday at a Conference on investment in the hotel market, Managing Director of Horwath HTL (Hungary and Russia) Michael OHejr.

"Regular flights and high-speed trains greatly influence the development of the hotel network and an increase in domestic demand," said OHejr.

As an example he cited the launch of high-speed train "Peregrine Falcon" circulating between Moscow and Vladimir. He recalled that in Vladimir are many interesting tourist objects. Increased tourist flow in the city had a positive impact on the development of mid-level hotels, he said.

In turn, Development Director Andrey Å irnin's Top Project cited evidence that 95% of Russians almost not travelling.

"This is cheap transport," he said.

As Senior Vice President of business development at the Rezidor Hotel Group Arild Hovland cited the example of the city of Sochi, noting that while there from Moscow to fly more than, for example, in Austria.
