Three airports will go into the management of private companies in Brazil

The first tender for the airport transfer in management of private capital was held in Brazil, reported the press service of the Government.

First to move out from under State control in the management of private companies International Airport "Kumbika" in São Paulo, as well as airports in the capital Brasilia and the city of Campinas in the State of São Paulo.

During the auction, which took place at the São Paulo Stock Exchange Bovespa, the State bailed out 24.5 billion Brazilian reais (14.2 billion) at 347% higher start value, noted the site of the Exchange.

Since the signing of the contracts, which under the trades should be enclosed within 45 days, will begin a transition period of six months to a year, during which the winners of the tender should be transferred to the ownership of airports administered by Infraero Brazilian airports public service.

The duration of the concession in the cities of Campinas, Brasilia and São Paulo, respectively, 30, 25 and 20 years. This is the first experience of transfer of large airports in private hands in Brazil, and in the case of good luck it should be extended to other airports in the country. It is expected that private capital would help attract investment and accelerate the modernization of the industry before the major international events such as the FIFA World Cup 2014 and the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
